Renfrew County is known for its beautiful scenery, clear water, and pristine beaches. You can enjoy many outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, cycling, snowshoeing, skating, boating, hunting, skiing (X-Country and downhill), sailing, scuba diving, caving, whitewater rafting, camping, snowmobiling and ATVing.

In Ontario, there are more than 20 provincial parks and the largest and most famous of those, Algonquin Park, is next door to CRL and Renfrew County.

The Province of Quebec also has some stunning National Parks.

Pine Point Beach, Deep River
Unsupervised
Pine Point Rd., Deep River

A family beach with no lifeguard supervision provided. Washroom facilities are available for public use.

Lamure Beach, Deep River
Supervised

Open seven days a week, 12 pm - 5 pm Brockhouse Way, Deep River. This supervised beach is equipped with two volleyball courts and a playground. Washrooms open during operating hours. Picnic areas are available and campfires are permitted in a designated area with permission from the Fire Department.

Burke’s Beach, Laurentian Hills

A quiet family beach with no lifeguard supervision provided.

The Petawawa Point Beach
Unsupervised
East Street and Island View Drive

Petawawa Point Beach is an unsupervised beach equipped with a children’s playground, a beach volleyball court, washrooms, picnic facilities, canoe, kayak, stand up paddleboard rentals and canteen services.

Black Bear Beach/Kiska Beach
May to September
Mark Lawrence Lieven Rd., Petawawa

This sandy beach is also a full-service campground with hydro and water hook- ups for 100 sites.

Burnstown Beach
1537 Calabogie Road, Renfrew

A beautiful sandy beach on the Madawaska River, play structure, seasonal concession stand and public washrooms. Now offering paddle sport rentals daily!

Arenas

Indoor and outdoor skating rinks can be found in Deep River, Laurentian Hills, Petawawa, Pembroke, Cobden, Renfrew, Barry’s Bay, and Arnprior.
